Abel Shiferaw brings a rare blend of elite industry experience, academic excellence, and a deep passion for teaching. With a career spanning over a decade in data science and data engineering, Abel has worked for world-class tech companies including Amazon, Meta, and Google, where he built and optimized large-scale data platforms, ETL pipelines, and cloud-native analytics solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Snowflake.
Before launching Datanomics Tech, Abel also taught data analytics and data science at top universities such as The George Washington University and Georgia Tech, earning a reputation for breaking down complex concepts into simple, practical, career-ready skills.
Born and raised in Ethiopia, Abel completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at Jimma University before earning two master’s degrees in Europe—one in Economics in Sweden and another in Financial Engineering in Italy. His global academic background combined with top-tier tech experience shapes a unique teaching style rooted in clarity, real-world application, and results-driven learning.
